Presentation of ACTION-Coeur

ACTION-Coeur belongs to the ACTION group and is an independent not for profit academic group or ARO (Academic Research Organization) established in 2007 and based at the Institute of Cardiology within the University Hospital La Pitié-Salpêtrière in Paris. ACTION Group is a unique structure promoting knowledge in Cardiology and relies on :

  • a national and international network of investigators to lead trials meeting deadlines and budgets ;
  • experts in methodology and statistics ;
  • a strong desire to act and innovate in order to improve current patient care and prognosis by conducting trials addressing key questions for the patients ;
  • outstanding expertise in the field of cardiology and in particular coronary syndromes, antithrombotic and antiplatelet treatments, genetics, arrythmias, valvular diseases, interventional procedures, diagnostic tests but also metabolism and nutrition.

THE ACTION-COEUR TEAM

Coordinated by Prof. Gilles Montalescot, ACTION-Coeur brings together specialists and experts mobilizing their expertise and know-how for the progress of cardiovascular research ; a committed  Board of Directors and a high-level operational team.
